Overview
SnapSpend is built by a team based in the Philippines, serving accounting firms, bookkeepers, and finance teams across Southeast Asia. We treat your data — receipts, invoices, exported spreadsheets, and account information — as confidential business information. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to control it.

How we use your data
We use PostHog (a product analytics platform) to understand how visitors use SnapSpend — page views, button clicks, feature usage, and anonymized session recordings to help us improve the product. Passwords and sensitive form fields are masked before recording. We don't run ad networks, we don't sell or share your data with third parties, and we don't use any of this for advertising. Session recordings expire after 30 days; aggregated event data is retained per PostHog's default policy (12 months on the free tier, configurable on paid). You can opt out at any time by emailing privacy@snapspend.ai.
Your documents
Receipts, invoices, and any files you upload are processed for the sole purpose of extracting structured data for you and your organization. We do not use your documents to train external AI models. Files and parsed results are stored within your organization workspace and visible only to members of that workspace.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (and equivalent regimes in Singapore and other jurisdictions we serve), you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data. Email privacy@snapspend.ai and we will respond within five business days.
Changes to this policy
We will note the date of the most recent change at the top of this page. For substantive changes affecting how we handle your data, we will email account owners.
